WHAT WE DO

We support displaced people in Northern France and homeless people in London and Edinburgh. We give people more than a hot meal, we give them a place to gather and connect. Somewhere to recreate a community - providing spaces for medical and legal services, safeguarding groups and other support organisation and people in need to meet.

Northern France

We’ve been serving food in Calais and Northern France since 2015. Since the Calais Jungle was demolished we have been forced to constantly adapt our distribution points and styles. We currently serve food wherever we can find a safe place for people to congregate in the Calais and Dunkirk regions.

UK Outreach

In November 2016 we set up our first London outreach to provide food to the most vulnerable people living on the streets, Edinburgh followed shortly after. We have witnessed increased homelessness, including many refugees. We now serve hot meals at points throughout London and in Edinburgh using food that would otherwise be discarded by local businesses.

RCK Edinburgh outreach started as a fundraising initiative for RCK Calais in 2016. Founded by Morven, an amazing professional chef who initially joined us in Calais. It is now a local food project running a weekly soup kitchen for people in food poverty as well as running social impact experiences teaching preservation techniques & local food traditions. They raise much needed funds with brilliant fundraising days in Pavilion Park.

RCK Edinburgh is committed to using surplus local produce to help people access warm nutritious food made with lashings of love.
